Prosecco DOC Frizzante

Fundum Bottega is a Prosecco Frizzante DOC «Sur  lie», created according to the traditional method of re-fermentation in the bottle, which has a “bottom”, i.e. a natural  deposit of lees. Produced in Treviso since the end of the 19th century, this Prosecco embodies tradition, as it was the wine for habitual consumption during the meals of peasant  families. With a cloudy appearance, it is characterized by low sulfite content, and by a dry taste due to very limited sugar content. To express itself at best, its bouquet has to be  oxygenated. The crown cap, distinctive feature of the bottle, grants the best preservation and longevity to this category of wines, representing the most original and traditional version  of Prosecco.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Color and Appearance
Slightly cloudy, straw yellow, with a delicate perlage.

Pleasantly fresh and fruity, with hints of apple and characteristic notes of yeast.

Dry, light, easy to drink, pleasantly bitter and sapid, with a strong taste.

Serving Suggestions

It can be either decanted to separate the “bottom” and oxygenate it, to enjoy its characteristic bouquet at its fullest, or shaken and served with its “bottom” to enjoy its sapidity and unicity. It is ideal as an aperitif and as a picnic wine with cold dishes. It is a perfect match with pasta, pizza, meat, eggs, asparagus, salami and vegetarian grilled dishes. Thanks to its low sugar content, it can also be enjoyed in case of need of controlling sugars.
