While Bottega Spa is not legally subject to EAA compliance as it does not offer an e-shop or B2C e-commerce service, it intends to pursue the objectives of broad accessibility set out in European and Italian legislation (EU Directive 2029/882, known as “EAA,” and Legislative Decree No. 82/2022). Therefore, after careful technical and manual analysis of the pages and features, we have produced a comprehensive, clear statement that complies with European regulations (EAA, WAD), informing users about the level of accessibility of the site and any planned improvements.

Compliance Status

Based on automatic and manual tests carried out on all public pages of the website, the main structural elements and dynamic components, we declare that the website is not compliant with the accessibility requirements set out in the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

Non-accessible Content

The content listed below currently does not comply with WCAG 2.2 requirements for the following reasons:

  • No visible focus on links, buttons, and interactive fields, making it impossible to navigate using a keyboard;
  • Navigation menu not fully accessible:
    • desktop – incomplete management of dropdowns and missing/outdated ARIA attributes;
    • mobile – with non-semantic trigger and lack of focus/exit via keyboard;
  • Main title (h1) missing or inconsistent on some pages;
  • Global search bar not accessible: opens without automatic focus, closing not managed by keyboard, incomplete labels;
  • Image map not accessible: hotspots not reachable by keyboard and tooltips only available on hover;
  • Contact form with incomplete labels, mandatory fields not correctly marked, and no accessible error messages;
  • ARIA attributes missing or inconsistent in various dynamic components (menus, sliders, galleries), resulting in a fragmented experience for screen readers;
  • Insufficient color contrast in text and links (e.g., gold text on light/dark background), reducing readability.

Planned Corrective Actions

A technical improvement plan is currently underway to progressively resolve the above issues. The goal is to bring the website bottegaspa.com into full compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) within the established timeframe.

During this transition phase, the site will integrate the customizable accessibility widget InclusivitySite EasyAccess, based on Iubenda technology, which will help address some unresolved structural issues, serving as a support for user navigation.

Statement Preparation

This accessibility statement was made on 19/11/2025.

The evaluation, based on WCAG 2.1 level AA criteria, was carried out using the AccessAudit InclusivitySite service by Internetimage, through:

  • Automated analysis with the custom InclusivitySite software;
  • Manual and technical review conducted by qualified personnel;
  • Verification of source code and interactive behavior.

This statement will be updated following any significant changes to the website, or at least on an annual basis. A new evaluation will be carried out at the end of the improvement process to certify full compliance.
