Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.bottegaspa.com and to the related public content available on the date of this statement.
This statement is drafted pursuant to the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

Based on the automated and manual tests carried out on all public pages of the website, on the main structural elements and on dynamic components, the website is compliant with the accessibility requirements set out by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and complies with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines with regard to the content currently online at the date of this statement.

  • Correct semantic structure, with appropriate use of structural landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and logical organization of content.
  • Full keyboard navigation, without interaction blocks, with a consistent tab order and the ability to reach all interactive elements.
  • Color contrast compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements, verified for text, links, buttons and interactive states across the different sections of the website.
  • Consistent heading hierarchy (H1–H6), structured progressively and logically, without improper jumps.
  • Visible and perceivable focus on all interactive elements, with clear visual indicators.
  • Buttons and links with accessible and descriptive text, free from ambiguity and with an accessible name properly exposed to assistive technologies.
  • ARIA attributes used consistently and in compliance with WAI-ARIA specifications, with correct exposure of states (aria-expanded, aria-current, aria-live where necessary).
  • Forms with labels correctly associated with fields, indication of required fields, clear instructions and accessible error messages.
  • Accessible global search bar, with a clear label for the input (not only a placeholder), automatic focus when opened, closing via the Esc key and restoration of focus to the trigger; on mobile, background content is made non-interactive when the search is open.
  • Accessible handling of the graphic map, supported by a textual table/list of links to the corresponding pages, with titles always visible for hotspots.
  • Sliders and galleries controllable via keyboard (next/previous/indicators), absence of automatic autoplay and presence of descriptive text labels or aria-labels on controls.

Assessment methodology

The assessment was carried out on the basis of WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria through the AccessAudit InclusivitySite service by
Internetimage, through:

  • Automated analysis using proprietary InclusivitySite software;
  • Manual and technical analysis carried out by qualified personnel;
  • Verification of the source code and interactive behaviors.

The verification was also extended to the use of screen readers to simulate access via assistive technologies, checking the correct semantic exposure of content, the accessible name of interactive elements and dynamic states.
Responsive tests were also carried out across different breakpoints and devices in order to ensure accessibility, readability and usability in mobile contexts.
The checks were conducted by simulating different usage scenarios, including keyboard-only navigation and access via assistive technologies, with the aim of evaluating not only the technical correctness of the code but also the actual user experience.

Navigation support tools

An accessibility widget, InclusivitySite EasyAccess, based on Iubenda technology, has been integrated into the website.
This tool provides navigation support features, including contrast adjustment, text size modification, focus highlighting and an easier reading mode.
The widget is configured as an additional support to the user experience and not as a substitute for the website’s structural accessibility.
