Montalcino - Pian Delle Vigne

Montalcino is located about 40 km south of the city of Siena.  Since 2004, is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

From 11 November Bottega S.p.A. manage its own the estate of Pian Delle Vigne, located in the south-western part of the denomination, near the village of Camigliano. A project to enhance a territory that is still uncontaminated and therefore rich in all its history, flora and microclimate that are peculiar to this area.

Tenuta Pian Delle Vigne has a long history, born from the owners’ passion for the vineyard and especially for the land of Montalcino. The large estate covers a total of 83 hectares (75 hectares of woodland and 8 hectares of vineyards). A 19th century Sienese “cassero”, once a structure defending the territory, houses the winery, where the wines age for between two and four years, depending on the type. The winery is dedicated to the vinification and maturation of the wines of the territory: Brunello di Montalcino, Riserva, Rosso di Montalcino and Sant’Antimo.

A historic name, known in Italy and abroad for the quality of its red wines that are appreciated by consumers and experts in the field.

The company’s willingness to invest has led to the acquisition of this historic winery, which produces important wines that represent Italian excellence all over the world.
