APERITIVO PRONOL

Aperitif Liquore

Aperitivo Pronol refers to the Italian tradition of the alcoholic aperitif, which dates back to the early 1800s and whose main proponents were pharmacists, doctors and apothecaries. It represented a substantial revolution in consumption at the time, as it was the first bitter-based product to be offered before meals, as an aperitif, and not at the end as a digestive.
From north to south, over the years, the aperitif spread to all Italian cities. In the early 1900s, the alcoholic aperitif, generously mixed, became a real social phenomenon.
Because of its moderate alcohol content, it was also served in cafés to ladies, who learned to appreciate its bitter notes.
Bitter herbs, spices, aromatic plants and fruit are the main ingredients that define its personality.
