At Benvenuto Brunello 2020, which will be held from February 21st to 24th, the press, experts in the wine sector and Brunello di Montalcino lovers will have the opportunity to taste the new vintages on the market.
More than 140 wineries from Montalcino area will be present at the event, including Bottega, with Il Vino dei Poeti Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015 and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Prêt-à-Porter 2013.
Il Vino dei Poeti Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is obtained using Sangiovese grapes cultivated in the south-eastern area of Montalcino, characterized by sloping hills rich in galestro. The traditional technique used to produce this wine gives a full body and an intense aroma to this wine. To enhance the character, it is aged for about 3 years in Slavonian oak casks: 30% in 5-hectoliter tonneaux and 70% in bigger barrels with a capacity of 7,5-25 hectolitres.
The 5-year aging makes Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Prêt-à-Porter extremely potent, full-bodied and persistent.
