EQUALITAS CERTIFICATION
1 October 2021The Bottega company obtained the Equalitas certification, which evaluates the global sustainability of the activity of companies in the wine sector, not only from an environmental point of view, but also from a social and economic point of view. The evaluation examines the level of interaction with local institutions where the company is based, also taking into consideration its charitable activities. Work ethics is a required element that includes the relationship with the employees, which must be characterized by a regular employment contract, fair remuneration, and the absence of any type of discrimination based on gender, origin, religion, or sexual orientation. The criterion of sustainability is also considered an element of preference in relations with suppliers of the entire production chain. The careful management of expenses is another element of the evaluation, together with investments to ensure the highest degree of safety at work. We are very proud of this new addition, which makes Bottega an ever more advanced company in terms of sustainability.
