Anteprima Amarone: Bottega present in Verona

From 2 to 4 February 2019 will be the “Anteprima  Amarone”. The event the event will took place in Verona, in Piazza Bra, at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia.

Amarone DOCG, the noblest red wine of Valpolicella and one of the most important Italian wines. It has an inimitable personality.

Bottega S. p. A. will participate at the exhibition, organized by the “Consorzio di tutela vini Valpolicella”, with Amarone Il Vino degli Dei, vintage 2015, and with Amarone Riserva Prêt-à-Porter, vintage 2012.

Il Vino degli Dei Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2015 is a structured, balanced and pleasant wine. It is characterized by the selected harvest, the drying on trellises and the ageing in oak casks: 50% in big barrels with a capacity of 25-60 hectoliter, 30% in barrique and in 10-hectoliter barrels and 20% in tonneaux. The nose is clear, characteristic of raisins with scents of sour cherry, marasca cherry and marmelade.
The taste is dry,warm, velvety, intense and full-bodied, with spicy notes and light tobacco scents.

Prêt-à-Porter Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Riserva 2012 is made special by its 4-year aging, making it extremely elegant, well-structured and long living.

These two wines have received important awards both in Italy and abroad, such as the silver medal at the IWSC – International Wine & Spirit Competition 2017 for Amarone Il Vino degli Dei and  91 points in Luca Maroni guide for Amarone Riserva Prêt-à-Porter.

Amarone is a meditation wine. It goes well with game, red meats and mature cheeses. Perfect with chocolate.
